062 - Meredith Miller -Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have to Heal From
Tuesday Aug 08, 2023
Tuesday Aug 08, 2023
Meredith Miller is a pastor and parent who helps grownups, and the kids they love, engage with the Bible and faith in ways that are life-giving, fun, and a fit for their real lives. We talk about why it's a more helpful goal for kids to develop trust with God than obedience, what God-centered storytelling looks like, Moral Therapeutic Deism, and a bunch more. Regardless of whether you have kids or not, I think you'll find our conversation helpful as you navigate what it means to engage your faith in this current moment.

Tuesday May 16, 2023
Scot McKnight is the Julius R. Mantey Chair of New Testament at Northern Seminary. He's the author of numerous books including Jesus Creed, Blue Parakeet, King Jesus Gospel and A Church Called Tov, which he co-authored with his daughter Laura Barringer.
Today we're talking about a new New Testament translation that Scot has completed that will be released on June 6. In our interview, Scot calls it a "crunchy and clunky translation" as a way of describing some of how he approached this work. It's a translation that will cause you to experience some of the New Testament in fresh ways because of the choices he makes.
